Alia Bhatt further advices "Whatever you do, do with determination. You have one life to live; do your work with passion and give your best. Whether you want to be a chef, doctor, actor, or a mother, be passionate to get the best result."

Let's slide into the world of Eke Rosemary, a Quantity Surveyor who has found love in Fashion and Designing.



In her own words "My Inspiration first of all was being independent, I started learning and discovered a burning passion for making clothes. Well, It hasn't been easy, been difficult given the fact that the Nigerian economy doesn't really encourage entrepreneurs but passion, determination to make it and willingness to learn has kept me going."

Word of advice? (She laughs softly) I  have not gotten to where I want to yet, infact I haven't even started, but i think I've learnt one or two in my 2 years in the business.

Knowing quite well that there a lot of young people who are willing to walk this same path but are constrained by fear and indecision. Here are some tips from her.

* Discover passion, try different things, you never know which one will resonate with you.

* Learn your craft extremely well.

*Get mentorship.. Stay under someone to understand the workings of the industry and business. There you'll learn from the person's mistakes.

* Make good use of social media. Its a tool.

*When you finally launch your business, give it full concentration, don't expect it to boom all year round, keep records and pray.

WHY I WON'T BE BUYING ANYTHING AGAIN FOR A LIFETIME

Heads up, people!  Walking into a shop to purchase an item does not look appealing to me anymore. This is one of my decisions for the new year being that if something is not worth it then there is no point buying it especially trying to impress another fellow.  I have chosen to stick to buying experiences rather 'things.' One of my observation is that experiences cannot be stolen or compromised. They stick like your gum sap sticks to a tree.  So maybe before you buy that expensive Emporio Armani wristwatch or Jimmy Choo shoes, it might be imperative to checkmate if there are experiences that same amout can buy you. Don't get me wrong, it is as clear as crystal that you need to shop for clothings, food, phones or luxury from time to time but bear in mind that your happiness can't be tied to any item.
