WILL YOU WASH YOUR HANDS WITH YOUR SPIT?

Have you ever watched how rainfall occurs?  If you are indoors and dry, it's an exciting thing but if you are outdoors and wet, there is no doubt you will be a little grumpy. Rainfall starts with little drops of water dropping like micro pellets till it assumes a furious rush of water from the sky and send even the most tiny legs scampering off to seek shelter.  Little drops of rainfall makes that heavy rain.  Tiny whispers of  'I get one gig' makes an industry. I like to refer to a couple of years back when writing was not a thing. It was assumed as just something nerds liked to do to show their intelligence.  Personally, I don't see writing as a test of intelligence.  It is rather an expression of self when it's in fiction and poetry form and when it takes a non-fiction form of business writing, memoirs, content writing and more, I see it as an unveiling.  These days, it is common to hear young people especially the upwardly...

TOP SKILLS AMAKA'S YOUNG STARTUP NEEDS TO AVOID 'DISAPPOINTMENT'

Amaka is one of the smartest people I have met. Come to think of it, she was raised in Onitsha, Anambra State and the ever bustling city of Lagos. You can say business sense comes easy to her, having lived in these two cities.  When the year began, she planned to increase her clientele to at least hundred for the year. Lately, she got a  ink that also enables her get quality supply of super stylish clothes.  However, the goal of the year has been dwindling. She has been on an emotional roller coaster on why her business has not  been going as planned. We all know business has it's good days and it's bad days.  But these... has been bad daaaaaaays. Before we attribute anything to fate and the circumstance. One thing is evident, she has not been making efficient use of her resources that will help her nail her goal for the year.  What in Christ heaven's is she going to do? There is a very thick line between wanting and needing a thing. With the ...

HENSHAW JACOBSON: THE MAN WHO TRADED HIS FIRST LOVE FOR DIGITAL MARKETING

Henshaw Jacobson could pass for just any regular guy but what stands him out is his commitment and passion to his hustle.  This promising young man who wears the shoes of a digital marketing professional, an online business coach, a personal brand consultant and the founder of QliqMedia- a digital marketing agency operating from Port Harcourt, Nigeria is a well of resources. It will be easy to wonder if he had it all figured out from the start that this was the path he would walk. However he has a candid response to this, “To be honest, I didn’t know I was going to do what I’m doing today. Growing up, I wanted to be a rapper. During my teenage years, Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar and J Cole were my favourite rappers. I lived and breathed in rap music then. I’m sure many won’t believe that I have some unreleased records. Yes, I have great records, I also have a collaborative record with a South African Rapper and a US producer.” He pauses to reminisce and laughs out loud...

WE CAN OPEN OUR BLIND EYES

If you thought that we go blind when the light fails our eyes, it's likely you believe that snowballs fallen on the floor are scoops of ice cream cascading from the skies. There is a thing about the generation that tends to stir the leadership of this country when the frail ones visit the land of no return. We love 'big things.' Big phones, big cars, big houses, big dreams, big husbands, big wives, big names or just about anything as long as it has the prefix 'Big.' You can't blame us!  We are the Millenials, the Gen-Z, no other generation has had a name as hip as ours. The digital era heralded us. So, No! You can't blame us.  But the next time we desire something big, let us remember that tiny pieces of sedimented particles make a huge rock.  Let us bring our bigness to remind us that a young Nigerian boy named  Dr. Emeagwali carefully studied the efficient ways in which bees communicate and build honeycombs and decided to create...
