WHAT YOU DIDN'T KNOW I LIKED ABOUT YOU

So lately I was discussing with a friend. In the midst of the discussion, he wiped open his phone screen and asked: "How much do you think he is worth?" Referring to someone who passed as influential to him.

I cast my glance at him, "Nothing!" I said calmly.

"You are a joker. You mean you don't know who he is?" He asked again.

I breathed a sigh of relief with my mind made up that a response from me would never see the light of the day. There is something I secretly call the "Underground Theory."

The world and its people are so fast that if you are not cautious, you might be knocked down by the fast and trampling go-lucky people. As opposed to how any other person perceives it, my value system for your success lies in your history.

I like to believe I 'm weird or perhaps old-fashioned but this is one part about you that thrills me.

I am a firm optimist, therefore the future has no choice than to be better than yesterday.

 In my head, it's a mathematical K- constant. This does not mean challenges won't pop up. C'mon what's a movie without a climax? 

 What I mean is that no matter how stormy the weather is, you will always sail ashore.

 Humble beginnings are relished areas of interest for me. I am a sucker for biographies and autobiographies. A colleague made a joke about me being a good fit for the CSI but life can't be that serious, I promise.

 If you are just leaving the confines of your shell and contemplating on taking your first step. I have deep respect for you. 

 Make the most out of those moments, create memories that you will look back at someday too. Perhaps you might be the next Throwback Thursday Ambassador.

 It is ok to dwaddle slowly, faster then progress to running.

Did I hear you say you don't have a grave? Everyone will have one someday but make sure you don't go there with excess luggage. A saying says "The richest place is the grave". WHY I WON'T BE BUYING ANYTHING AGAIN FOR A LIFETIME

Heads up, people!  Walking into a shop to purchase an item does not look appealing to me anymore. This is one of my decisions for the new year being that if something is not worth it then there is no point buying it especially trying to impress another fellow.  I have chosen to stick to buying experiences rather 'things.' One of my observation is that experiences cannot be stolen or compromised. They stick like your gum sap sticks to a tree.  So maybe before you buy that expensive Emporio Armani wristwatch or Jimmy Choo shoes, it might be imperative to checkmate if there are experiences that same amout can buy you. Don't get me wrong, it is as clear as crystal that you need to shop for clothings, food, phones or luxury from time to time but bear in mind that your happiness can't be tied to any item. Helping hands or holding hands?

It was just last week. I set up a quiz for the pupils I teach. Teaching had never been something I looked forward to but it found me. I can tell you that despite I find myself standing in front of a board each morning, I feel more like I am learning. So, the doubts of if I relished teaching fizzled away. The experience has been fresh and worthy. I had two groups namely A and B consisting of three pupils each for the quiz. The pupils in group A were more of the intelligent stock and group B, I called them the average stock. Once we kicked off, group A had earned eight points leaving group B at two points. "We will finish you, people today", Vincent snarled. He is one of the smartest kids you 'd ever meet, a fast rising Chike Obi breed and the sole provider of the answers coming from his camp.
